A waterproof D4 grade wood adhesive with none of the safety issues associated with conventional isocyanate containing (polyurethane) D4 grades.
Main advantages
- Waterproof (EN204 D4 classification) — suitable for damp/humid conditions and even prolonged water exposure after full cure
- Stronger-than-wood bond in many applications
- Safer than polyurethane D4 adhesives because it is:
- solvent-free
- diisocyanate-free
- Fast setting and short clamp times
- Good adhesion on difficult woods like:
- oak
- larch
- Low staining/discolouration risk
- Heat and impact resistant
Important limitations
- Wood moisture should be below 10%
- Do not use below +10°C
- Not suitable for load-bearing structural applications
- Avoid use on:
- large laminate surfaces
- non-porous laminates
- Full waterproof performance develops only after about 1 week curing
